International Orchestra conducting academy
The third edition of the International Orchestra conducting Academy will take place in Vendôme and Paris from July 23rd to August 3rd, 2008. The aim of the program is to provide a unique, high level opportunity for young and talented conductors to work and improve their conducting artistry under the guidance of the accomplished conductor and master teacher, Kenneth Kiesler.
The program will start on July 23rd with a an introductory session followed by dinner with the participants and Maestro Kiesler. Conducting classes will take place in Vendôme from July 23rd to 29th. A pianist and the members of the well-known and highly regarded French string quartet, "le quatuor Leonis," will be the ensemble for the initial conducting sessions. Conducting participants will also have the opportunity to lead the Ensemble orchestral de Paris in rehearsals during master classes on July 30, 31 and August 1 (in Paris), and August 3 in Vendome. All participants will conduct the Ensemble orchestral de Paris in a final public concert in Vendôme at the end of the program (August 3).
